Volunteer Opportunities
Please use the volunteer e-mail link to sign up for volunteer work or to ask questions. You may also use the Picnic Committee Directory to address a specific committee member directly. A Picnic Committee member will respond to your message. Thank you, in advance for your help.
This is an excellent way for students to fulfill their Service Hours requirements.
- Picnic Set up and take down – People are needed to help us move equipment, put up tents, and assist Picnic Committee Members in organizing their booths. Some volunteers are needed throughout the weekend but most of the work happens on the Wednesday & Thursday evening before the picnic and the Sunday & Monday evenings after the event.
- Picnic Games – People are needed to help coordinate set- up and take down of the games area as well as people to run the game booths in shifts.
- Beer Tent – Individuals are needed to fulfill shifts for serving beer behind the bar during the event. Shift times are available by contacting the beer committee members. These people must be 21 years of age.
- Paddle Wheel – People are needed to assist in selling paddles for the paddle wheel game. Shift times are available by contacting the Paddle Wheel committee member. These People must be at least 21 years of age.
- Fish Boil – People are needed to prepare for and serve the fish boil dinner.
- Chicken Dinner – People are needed to prepare for and serve the Chicken Dinner.
- Ticket Sales – People are needed to sell raffle and game tickets at the event. The people work in scheduled shifts. Shift times are available by contacting the Ticket committee member.
- Food Stand – People are needed to assist in setting up the stand, preparing food, grilling food and serving customers. Shift times are available by contacting the food committee person.
- Picnic Committee Co-Chairperson – An individual is needed to assist in the organization of the Parish Picnic event. This requires coordinating meetings, communicating with committee members and working as a liaison between the committee and the church.
- Picnic Publicity – We need an individual to assist in promoting the picnic event. This includes working with advertisers and sponsors, ordering and installing road signs and posters as well as other promotional opportunities.
