A Note from Sister Carol Jean
Welcome to St. Pius X Campus, a proud partner of the ACES Xavier Educational System, and a spirit-filled school community of children, faculty, staff and families. We experience our campus as a special place to be, where a faith-filled environment surrounds us, an environment that is child-centered, safe, nurturing, loving and caring. We believe that children are special and unique gifts from God and therefore we are dedicated to nurturing them spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.
We are a school community that offers quality integrated programs beginning with Early Childhood (Pr-K, Kindergarten and Extended Day) through Grade Five. In addition, you can find Child Care Programs before and after school hours beginning at 7:00 a.m. and continuing after school until 6:00 p.m. We also offer a summer child care program. Where else can you find so many flexible options for your children and family?
Here are some of the additional features and benefits you will experience at St. Pius:
- Dedicated, energetic, qualified and certified teachers who lead children in their school growth and development by engaging them in active learning activities.
- A dynamic Catholic/Christian environment that permeates our school life. This includes planning and participating in weekly Liturgies, a religion program that involves the children in learning, prayer and service to others.
- A Guidance Counselor and Academic Tutor who supports us in giving integrated guidance individual attention to all children.
- Specialized teachers who support a well-rounded educational experience in the arts (Art, Physical Education, Music and Orchestra and Band for our intermediate students).
- Re-modeled and newly constructed school facilities that gives us an exceptionally new and spacious gym, LMC (Library Media Center) an computer lab providing extended opportunities for our children. All children use the gym, Media Center and Computer lab on a regular basis.
- An in-house hot lunch program that provides warm, healthy and well-balanced meals for our students.
Extra curricular activities that include, but are not limited to:
- Readers' Theater; Reading Rainbow; Student Council; Peer Mediation; LEGO League; Destination Imagination; Scouts; Service Projects; Athletics; and social activities.
- For parents we have numerous opportunities for involvement in your school community: a very active Home and School Organization that is outstanding in its support of family, staff and students and our S.E.T. (School Effectiveness Team) Committee, an advisory group to the principal.
Choosing the kind of school which is best for your child is a very important decision. Don’t wait…come and visit us now! We are a special gift you can give your child!
Blessings,
Sister Carol Jean Peterson, CSJ Principal
