Week 18

The first window can be viewed in the reconciliation room, from Father’s side. The sun here is the sun of righteousness and justice and also the light of the world (Jesus Christ) dispelling darkness. A dove carries an olive branch, representing both peace and affirmation of the covenant. The second window, displaying an outstretched hand releasing a butterfly, is in the sacristy. The butterfly is a traditional symbol of rebirth, resurrection, and victory in Christ. The butterfly and its stages of development also symbolize the journey of the soul.
