November 22 and 23

Fr. Bobby Benson, a priest from Ghana, West Africa will be speaking at all our weekend Masses. Fr. Bobby started a mission called the Matthew 25 House to minister to HIV/AIDS patients. In their culture, a person who has the disease is an outcast and Fr. Bobby was inspired through Fr. Carr’s Place 2B to give dignity to these people by building a hospice for them to live in during their last days.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD

Children ages 4 through 1st grade are invited to participate. Children who have made, or are making their first communion are to partake in the Mass. Children’s Liturgy of the Word will be held at both the 8:30 and 10:30 Masses every other Sunday. Please watch for the scheduled Sunday’s to be posted on the Faith Formation bulletin board. Any parents willing to help with Children’s Liturgy, please contact Betty at the Faith Formation office.

Next session: November 23, 2008.

Fundraiser for our Parish

Kwik Trip gas stations and convenience stores are allowing our parish to keep 20% from the sale of their gift cards. This means that for every $100 of cards sold for gas or anything inside the stores, Kwik Trip will allow us to keep $20 for our parish use. Sales of these cards will be after all weekend Masses and in the parish office.

Christmas Food Basket

If you or someone you know from St. Pius X is in need of a Christmas Food Basket, and /or items of clothing, toys, etc., please contact the parish office at 733-0575. We are also in need of canned goods and non-perishable items to fill the Christmas baskets for those in need. You may bring the items between now and December 14. Please put the food in the large box in the Narthex.
